I'm new to the whole "Biggest Loser" concept...I just saw on the home page where it says to "Upload a photo of yourself from the time in your life when you felt alive, young and full of energy!". I've never been like that...as long as I can remember, I've been at least 50 pounds overweight (I was obese at 8 years old).

Those of you in the same boat, where do you find your inspiration? I don't even know what I look like thin!

When I firststarted (about six weeks ago), truth be told, I had no inspiration. My husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer in late June, and all I wanted to do was make him well. I had no control over his illness, so I started reading everything I could get my hands on, and started making huge changes in the kitchen. This was my only form of control. My DH is not overweight, but not the healthiest of eaters, so this was a much needed change for him. I've always been overweight, but not to this extreme, and my husband had never made an issue of it, until August, and his words were "You want me to be healthy, but I'm not walking the road alone." For some reason, that hit me like a ton of bricks, and whether I wanted to or not, I started walking. I started slow, could barely breath...I hated it, but I wouldn't give up. Six weeks later, I'm a totally different person. I do an hour of cardio and 1/2hr of strength training 6 days a week. I could barely walk and now I'm able to JOG 1.4 miles without stopping! I find inspiration in myself now. The way I feel now compared to six weeks ago, inspires me to keep moving forward. I guess the difference now is that I try and look for inspiration in everything that I can. Somedays that's easier to do than others, so if I feel low, I search for inspiration! Look at my starting picture, check out some of the "losers" on this site...whatever works. I have no idea what I'll look like at goal, but I can't wait to see what that feels like! Just keep positive, and keep moving forward!
