Hello,
I work 2nd shift and I eat before I go to work at 2:30. I eat a granola bar at 7:30 and eat nothing else until I get home at night, which is around 11:30. As soon as I come in the door I sit everything down and head straight for the frig. I would like some ideas of good but filling recipes for eating that late so I just don't go and grab that bag of chips. Also, I would like to have a reliable person that would be interested in helping each other with our highs and lows to talk to.

You know, it doesn't matter how late you have to eat, as long as you have room in your daily calories for the food. First thing to remember, you have to eat breakfast. Don't skip meals, it's not healthy. You should figure out how many calories you need to eat per day so that you know how many calories you have to eat when you get home. You need to calculate your BMR. That will tell you how many calories you burn on average if you sat on the couch all day.

Eat lean proteins, veggies, etc. Stay away from processed foods. I love chips, but I stopped eating them for the longest time. I've managed to find all natural sea salt chips, but I am very careful not to sit down with the bag. I count out the right amount for one serving and its much better for me.

If you don't feel like cooking at night, think about getting those steam bags from ziplock. You can steam veggies and chicken, so that should help you. Just remember to eat protien and stay away from processed foods. Stick with whole grains, too.

Good luck!
