This is the TEAM for those dedicated to lose 100+ pounds and to GO THE DISTANCE!! to our goal!! We've Got a NEW name, too "100 Plus And Fabulous!
Hi everyone and WELCOME to you doing one of the BEST things you could do for yourself, get your life back! Biggest Loser NBC just told us yesterday that we have our teams. They alerted the team captains that we have teams and have re-named the teams. This team is all about you and I, the people who have a LOT of weight to lose, and so and we've started this team just for YOU. It is dedicated to people who are committed to losing 100+ Pounds. Those needing to lose 100+ or even more pounds face challenges that the people with 15 or 20 pound goals could not imagine. So this is a special team of support, encouragement and accountability as we take on the biggest challenges in our health and quality of life.
Have you ever noticed that the folks on the show are really motivated with a whole support network? Let's release the power of mutual encouragement and accountability and shed those pounds, start feeling better, being free to go out there and just enjoy life, wear normal clothes.
If they -- the people on the show -- can do it, so can we!
I invite you to join THE team for losing 100 or more pounds. The NBC people re-named the team We've Got a NEW name, too "100 Plus And Fabulous! at the Team's request (they'd called us "100 is just another number" but you and I know it's not just another number to us, so the NBC folks took suggestions and re-named us 100 PLUS AND FABULOUS
To us it means accomplishment, a long and dedicated victory for those of us who REALLY WANT IT. If you are ready to be challenged and encouraged and to find teammates doing the same, join here! Just reply with your user name telling us about why you are wanting to lose 100 or more pounds, how the team could help you achieve your goals and what you plan to do to help support and motivate others, and we will send you an invitation. Some of you have done it already, and can be an encouragement to us while we support you in going the distance!
"100 is just another number" ?
Many BIGGEST LOSER show, club and other people have done this. WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!!! on the Biggest Loser League.
You can do it!
You are worth it
You don't have to go it alone, we are all doing this together!
Send me your user name and tell me a bit about your goals (or reply to this with your user name) and I'll send you an invitation to join us!

I submitted my request through the teams link. I have been talking to my trainer at my gym. He wants to start a local BL team at the club. We have a chef, team of trainers, a therapist, a nutritionist, and we are looking for the right doctor. My trainer, Anthony is motivated to help others like us who have lots of weight to lose and must "do or die" in the most literal way. Problem is he and his staff have no concept of the real changes a body goes through when it is 50+lbs too heavy. I am trying to educate him on how the marketing for this program has to be different from the traditional "Lose the Holiday Pounds", and "Get Ready for the Beach" campaigns that permeate Gym membership ads. He was requiring all of his training staff to watch the BL season premier. I will be interested in whether they all did, and what they might have picked up. We won't be able to get that team started until at least January or February.
I walked into the gym in March when I could not get anyone to apply to the show with me. I had several who wanted to, but could not get time off from work. I know this is my last chance before surgery. I am not going under the knife! I may need all the calories I can get when I am 105

So I walked into the club and said that since I couldn't be on BL I needed to work with a "Jillian". I don't get where anyone thinks she is the nice one. Bob kicks butt, but I think he cuts some slack sometimes too
Anyway looking forward to the team and "Kickin' the weight Homeside

WELCOME mandapanda! Glad you want to join in. You know how Bob and Jillian keep changing up the training. Well, for some of us it will be KICK BUTT and some will do better with encouragement. With a nice well-motivated team, I believe we'll have provided for those who need "KICK BUTT" someone who just will be willing to do it... and those who need some luv to get up of the couch and take a walk will find some, too. bear with me as I learn the "boards" and team protocal on the BLL site, I hope we can be part of your journey to health and feeling great :-)

Hi there Sunnydae,
I would really like to join this team. I weigh 270 lbs and need to lose 130 lbs. I have been overweight for over 25 years. I have tried all I could on my own and I think a team would really make a difference. I do not want to have the weight loss surgery as a last resort. I know I can do it with the right motivation. I also like to motivate others by sending messages and e-mails. I would like to be apart of something that could help other people as well as help myself. I am also a competitive person and like to have fun. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hopefully,

You got it, Rachel!
You and Lori74 and Budog have been invited. I think the invitations may show up in your messages or via email. But you are totally welcome to join us. Congratulations on taking this great step toward your health and feeling better!! We are going to be about fun as well as about motivation. Competition in a positive way. You know it must be hard for the 15 people that don't make it on the show, when the 1 person wins... but here we are not competing for 250K, just for our health and taking our life back so we can live it to the fullest. That being the case, I'm about us ALL winning! Let's compete against obesity and strike a big win for all of us folks sweatng it off!

I would like to join this team as well! I have to lose about 120lbs, and have been overweight since age 20, and I'm 42 now (not 41 like my TBLL profile says. I don't know how I did that. Really, I don't!

). Do I wait for an invitation or do I just join up on the myNetwork?
Whops, never mind! I just figured it out and sent my request.

Come join us! The early birds are really extra motivated...as long as we spend more time exercising than blogging about it! Glad you are part of us. Hi Everyone!
I just joined the team this morning. My name is Debbie, I am a 51 yr old mother of two and grandmother of 3. I, once again, weigh 284 lbs.

My goal is to get down to a healthy, active 145 lbs. I have battled with the weight since I was very young, starting with very stupid fad diets as early as 12 or 13, progressing on to many types of diet pills, programs, etc. over the years. Only once did I actually achieve goal weight, but that only lasted for about 4 months then the weight piled back on twice as fast as I had lost it! Recently I've been able to lose about 45 lbs but then slowly returned to old bad habits and put it all back on. I have had to face that I need to either do something permanant (but I'm not a candidate for surgery) or decide to accept myself at this size and prepare to die early.
I'm convinced that I need someone like Jillian in my life to "beat me up" and push me to do what I need to do. Like may of you I too had applied for season 6 and will probably consider re-applying for a future season, if they ever decide to do individuals again.
Will we have a set weigh-in day? Are we in competition with other teams?
I look forward to starting this journey

Hey Sunnydae,
I'm willing to give it a go, I had double knee replacements in June 2007 and need my new knees to last me a long time so I must lose some weight. I have done WW, and all the other diets out there. Looking forward to chatting with others.

Okay - so I do have 100 pounds to lose. I went to the teams page to see what teams are available - because maybe there would be another team that might fit me better. But all I get there is a box that says search for teams.
There is a search box way down on the other side of the page but it doesn't give any instructions so I hit search and it is trying to search for members and not teams.
Where can I find a list of all the teams available? Someone yesterday said that we would be placed on teams.
Is there any information on this??

Julie,
When you go to the "Teams" page & it shows the search screen, their is a little link right under the search field that says "Browse All" -- that will pull up a list of all the teams. Unfortunately, some of the names are cut off, but you can click on each one & it will bring up the page for that individual team.
I was confused about joining too. I think we just have to join. I don't think we're put into them automatically, but I'm not sure. I'm still kind of confused about it. I was also wondering if we could join more than one group (there are a lot of 100+ groups) but I'm not sure if we can join more than one or just have to pick one. I'm still new at all this too!

Hi everyone, I'm ready to join too. I am 46 years old and have been on diets since I was only in single digit ages. I have a terrible time with motivation and my husband is one of those guys who can eat anything and never gain an ounce. Sometimes life just isn't fair. I'm ready to go this time. My son is now worried about his weight and I want to be a role model for him to eat healthier and get down to a weight he is comfortable with.
I have a little over 100 pounds to lose. I'm 5'7" and work 50 hours a week as a project manager for a national real estate appraisal firm. I sit behind a desk all day and it's hard to find the time between work and family to get in those workouts. Luckily I'm a morning person and don't mind getting up before 5 am. I must be crazy.
If we can all do this together, with God's help, we'll succeed.

Hi All - I just signed up to the site and I NEED to be part of a team. I am only 230, but at 5'3", I could afford to lose the hundred pounds. Please take me on. I have lost up to 50 pounds before, but it always comes back with reinforcements. I need to make it stick, before I truly become unhealthy. Anyone from Jersey would be a bonus!

Budog.

We've -- gratefully-- been re-named at the Team's request. We're now called 100 PLUS AND FABULOUS!. Glad to have you aboard, Budog!
I'll invite the others. This team is OPEN and SUPPORTIVE of anyone seriously committed to losing 100 pounds or more. All we ask is that you be willing to risk getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things. There are some people here that want to kick butt like the trainers on BL, and some that to just take a walk is a huge challenge for them. We can all be a fantastic group of biggest winners if we recognize this diversity and encourage and support each other. I emailed the NBC folks and they say that the interface is still getting in order, so let me issue an informal weekly challenge. Whatever level of fitness we are at I'm going to encourage you this week to do FIVE MINUTES MORE each day. So if you have been sitting on the couch eating twinkies, then get out and go for a five minute walk each day. Hey, the teams challenges have not really got going yet, so what do we have to lose by going out and getting our momentum going? If you've already been doing 2 hour workouts at the gym, well this week before everything starts, add another FIVE minutes to your workout. Don't feel comfortable going out in shorts or exercise clothes? Well, anyone can do five minutes walking even in full suit and tie. Go the distance, team, go for it! Once they have a team communication interface up, we'll issue regular challenges and a space for everyone to communicate.

Hi Sunnydae,
I am Camile44. I am 43 yrs old. I will be 44 next month. I want to be 44, fit, and fabulous by the end of my 44th year. I just signed up for TBLL today. I am excited to get started on this journey. I would like to lose 117lbs which is a little more than half of me. I hope there is room in the club for one more. I look forward to meeting new people. It will be great to share this experience with someone who is experiencing it themselves. I was inspired by Ali's weight loss and the short amount of time she accomplished it. It will probably take me longer and that is okay. I plan to push myself harder than ever before, just like I would if I were at the ranch. I think I need to create a lil "Jillian" voice inside my head to keep me going. LET'S DO THIS!

Hi Arieslove & Camille44. You've both been invited. Please bear with this site while they get it going. There are definitely some quirks and there is not a lot of interface for the team to communicate with eachother yet. Once they get that happening we can do some introductions to each other. In the mean time, we've issued an informal FIVE MINUTES MORE challenge, which is that each of us, no matter what level we are at, is to increase our exercise to at least FIVE MINUTES MORE each day. So if you do nothing, then start with 5 minutes a day. If you are doing 30 minutes 3 days a week, then increase it to 35 minutes on those days, plus 5 minutes on the other days. This is kind of like a team "warm up" to get us in the habit of getting off our duffs even when we don't feel like it. Anyone can do five minutes, even if you are 500 pounds. So be patient with the team stuff until the BLL gets fully functional. I'm ready to go yesterday, especially after that great show last night!

Hello Sunnydae,
I'm ready to join too. I am 42 and a mother of a 18 & 4 yr old. I too have been on diets since I was a kid. I would like to loose at least 150 pounds. I'm 5'5" and currently weigh 330 lbs. I work as a graphic designer and sit behind a desk all day. I have a terrible time with motivation and temptation.
Up until this point I have been very lucky in regards to high blood pressure, sugar, etc. even though I have been obese almost my entire adult life. I see that changing as I age. I now have asthma, sleep apnea, and for the last 6-8 months my BP is alarmingly high.
I know I need to do something for me and my family. I have to get healthy again. I miss out on a lot in my life...avoiding activities and gatherings because of my weight. This is something I came to realize a long time ago but kept putting it off til "another day". Well "another day" has come. I know I'm going to get my butt kicked and I'm ready for it!
I look forward to being a part of this great team!

Hi I joined the team last night. I am a wife, mom and grandma. I need to lose 129lbs. I have a hard time losing weight. I am hoping with the support of this team I can be successful. I am from Michigan. I have high blood pressure and am borderline diabetic. I just turned 40 and am really worried about being border line diabetic because diabetes is what my mom died from and i also had an uncle who lost his leg because of it and gave up on life. I have a good chance of becoming a diabetic because it runs in my family, my grandma, mom and one of my uncles all from my moms side of the family had it.
I really want to lose the weight so that I can spend time and play with my granddaughter. I owe this to her because she had to fight for her life when she was born because she was really tiny. So I really need to save my life to be with her while growing up.

Team Captain, of the 100+ pound weight loss TEAM for biggest loser leage 100 PLUS AND FABULOUS
I wrote my intro yesterday and thought I posted it, but I don't see it anywhere.......without a doubt it is user error

. Well, here I go again: My name is Renate, I am 46 years old and weigh 234 lbs. at 5"7. I have been plus or minus 20 lbs around that weight for the past 13 years. I have high blood pressure and do not want to take medication for the rest of my life, so the weight has to come off......and I really miss being able to shop for clothes that don't look like they were made by a tent maker! I have a supportive husband, but he always watches my attempts from a careful distance since so many have failed. I have a 10 year old son and an 11 year old daughter that (thank god) are not overweight, but could easily travel down that slippery slope unless I teach them the right way.
I believe that being on this team and having someone to answer to will keep me honest and motivated. Thank you Sunnydae for inviting me! In addition to joining the team I also joined the BLC, which so far I like a lot!!

Welcome, Renate! I'm sure there will be more we can do to encourage each other soon once the site gets fully up and going. For now, I'm inviting everyone to do the FIVE MINUTES MORE challenge, which is no matter what your exercise or activity level, get up and do 5 minutes more every day. So if you are already active, just add 5 minutes time to each day's workout, and on the "off" days, just go for a 5 minute walk. It's kind of like a warm-up to our system's letting them know that they can't just take a day off and stay in bed or sit at a desk all day.

Hi. My name is Danette. I am wanting to loose 100 pounds. I am only 22 and I am weighing in around 290 . I started to loose weight then ended up pregnant and then had a miscarrage. So baically I have been in depression mode. But now I am looking to the positive side and hopeing for the best. I would love to loose 100 lbs. Anyway, GO BROWN TEAM!!! They are from my home state of Louisiana.

You can go to the teams tab and browse through the teams, or we'd love to have you on our team. We are specifically for those who are committed to losing 100 pounds or more (or even for people already on their way there). I sent you an invitation, Danette, come join us! -sunnydae, Team captian for 100 Plus & Fabulous!

Hi Sunnydae, I already have been invited and I just joined. I am sooooo excited to be part of a team of people that truely understand how I feel about being overweight. I know this is going to be a great team to be on. I know we will all be great support to one another.
My name is Barb, I am 38 years old and have 4 children, 2 are grown(21 & 19) and 2 are teens (17 & 15). My youngest is my biggest supporter. She used to go with me to the gym all the time, but she goes to school and works weekends at our local amusement park and I go to college during the day and work 3-4 nights per week. We have a bit of a problem getting our schedules to coincide so that we can workout together like we used to.
I have about 140 lbs. to lose. I want to get back down to 150-155 or a size 10/12 which ever comes first.
Okay team lets kick some butt and get this fat off of us!!!!!

Hi,
I would like to join this team. I have been overweight for 10yrs. I have tried everything! I have spent thousands only to lose a little and then gain it back! It's hard to lose when you are alone and have NO support! I want to do it for me and for my little boy. I want to feel good again and I have a long way to go! I have to lose 135 pounds to get to my goal!

Welcome tabbyfl!! I see you've joined. It looks like they just added a moderator for our team as well, so more features are coming in the team structures. This week we're doing FIVE mintues more. Do FIVE MINUTES MORE exercise per day than you have been doing and blog about it on your blog. Can't wait until next week's show!

attn: 100 PLUS AND FABULOUS TEAM MEMBERS...
There's a NEW section they created called TEAM ANNEX, so I'll post future posts there from now on, but for now if you are on the TEAM, please add your team-mates to your FRIENDS/CONTACTS....
WELCOME TEAM:
Quick Team meeting for 100 PLUS AND FABULOUS Team – Please add your fellow TEAM MEMBERS to your “Friends” or “Contacts” list. We'll update the list on Monday or Tuesday (9/22 or 9/23) so you can add everyone. Or if there is some inter-team communication in place, then I will send you a message. Add me to your 'friends' list, and I may be able to do it that way. Click on my member name/logo, 'sunnydae' and then click on the link that says AD AS FRIEND.
When you get the list of your fellow team mates, do the same...
Find the member, then click on their user name, then when you see FRIEND, add them as a friend
This will help us get each other off the couch and into the gym, and intercommunicate while everything is still up and going:

Hi Sunnydae,
I would love to join the TEAM. My name is Lori, I am 38 and I'm about 124lbs overweight. SO frightening when you say it that way. I am more than twice the size I should be and I am ready to make the commitment to myself to finally become healthy and fit. I'd love to work with a team of people who understand my obstacles and who want to be there for one other through all of our roadblocks and victories.
My id is Lori D1970 and I look forward to taking this journey with you and the rest of the team.
We're in it to win it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
