About a year ago I developed fibromyalgia and was dx'd with rheumatiod arthritis. The meds I'm taking make me ravenously hungry. Changing meds is not an option. I had a hard time keeping at 180 prior to this. Now that I'm limited physically and eating more I'm spiraling out of control. I want to stop it before it stops me; if you know what I mean. Can anyone please share with me some encouragement? I already know that "if I lose weight I'll feel better"! But how do I get started in order to get a handle on it? I'm used to being the encourager rather that the encouragee. This is tough.

I'm not a doctor, but am a sufferer of severe adrenal fatigue, which is linked with fibromyalgia. A lot of people have found that when their adrenals start functioning a bit better, their fibromyalgia symptoms are less aggravated, including the continual fatigue.
To support healthy adrenal function, you need to get recuperative sleep, avoid caffeine, and do something to bring down your stress level.
I would suggest YOGA. Not only is yoga low impact (to avoid jarring your already sensitive joints), but it improves flexibility, centers your mind, and helps the body to heal. Lots of yoga, lots of healthy, organic foods that your body doesn't have to work so hard to process.
I hope this helps a little bit, and wish you the best of luck on your journey!
