Hi! I'm new and just wanted to introduce myself. I joined the league on Oct. 17 and like many new people here I'm still learning my way around. My goal is to lose 100lbs. Currently, I weigh 225lbs. A little over a week ago I begin walking daily after several years of inactivity. I've always been overweight but I gained over 45lbs during the time I dated my husband. Losing the weight is important to me b/c one day I would like to have kids. My health is a big obstacle right now. I also want to havve an active life with my family, long life with my husband. I'm very excited about the challenges and the fact I will not have to do this alone. It's been tough finding an active team that will communicate back to me, but I'm still hopeful and determined to to participate and lose the weight.

Hi, Marque!
My name is LeAnna and I'm also new to this board, and am also hoping to find others to support and encourage and who will do the same for me.
I can't claim that I ever seriously tried to lose my weight...I did the talk and a lot of moaning and groaning, but I never really took action.
Until about 18 months ago. I knew my health was deteriorating due to my obesity...people in my family were dropping from heart attacks and developing diabetes like wildfire. And just walking through my house was causing me to breath heavy.
I weighed 270 pounds and was 5'5" tall. The day I took my first walk, I made it for 15 minutes and literally had to have a nap!!
To date I have lost 60 pounds, and I have 60 to go to reach my goal weight. But the best part is how much better I feel. 18 months ago I could barely walk, today I can jog.
Change is not easy, but it's worth every ounce of sweat and every drop of determination. You hang in there!!
